Following on from the recent announcement of signing to Sharptone Records, Joshua Travis has today announced the details of his debut EP. Set for release next month, the EP titled No Rest will see a range of features across its five tracks. With this announcement comes new single “Leviathan“, featuring Ryo Kinoshita of Crystal Lake and Chad Kapper of Frontierer, the video for which can be viewed below.
Previously released single “Web Of Lies” which featured Stephen Taranto and Andy Cizek of Monuments will feature on the EP alongside the aforementioned “Leviathan“. The former Glass Cloud and The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza member has built up a roster of features with the remaining three tracks including features from; Jamie Hails and Jake Steinhauser of Polaris, Jake Wolf of Reflections and composer Daniella Bolin, ending with Ryan Kirby of Fit For A King.
“On Leviathan I was stoked to be able to work with two polar opposites in range and tonality,” Travis revealed of his second single. “I wanted to make the track completely flip right in the middle, but I also wanted a sound that complimented how low the song jumps at that part. Having Ryo basically murder from the top to the bottom vocally left this very specific sweet spot for Chad. The end result for me feels like we grabbed the whole sonic spectrum and just assaulted it.”
No Rest will release on March 18th via Sharptone Records. You can pre-order the EP here, and view the EP’s tracklist and artwork below. For a review of the record and further news on Joshua Travis, hang around Boolin Tunes.
