Vein.fm have returned a year and a half after we last saw them on Old Data in a New Machine, Vol. 1 in 2020. In support of their next studio album, This World Is Going to Ruin You, they’ve released a music video for single “The Killing Womb”, which you can catch here:
If unsettling visuals and chase scenes are your preferred companion to chaotic metalcore, then this video is for you.
Formerly known simply as Vein, the Boston-based band tacked on the “.fm” in 2020. Their debut, Errorzone, garnered significant interest in the scene on the strength of highlights like “Doomtech“ and the title track. They look to capitalize on their potential and “go back to the origin point of Vein and put it on blast,” as described by vocalist Anthony DiDo. If “The Killing Womb” is any indication, then Vein.fm stands in position to do just that. This track showcases their signature tendency to dizzy the listener with a whirlwind of abrasive sound.
This World Is Going to Ruin You is due out March 4th on Closed Casket Activities in North America and Nuclear Blast Records everywhere else. You can grab a pre-order of the record on their bandcamp, and find the cover art and tracklist here. Keep it here at BoolinTunes to catch our reaction when the album drops in a few weeks.
