Metalcore quartet Blood Youth have unveiled their new vocalist Harry Rule. This comes after the band announced last week that vocalist Kaya Tarsus will be leaving, a mainstay since their debut EP Inside My Head in 2016. In an interview with Rock Sound, it was confirmed that Rule would be the band’s new frontman.
Those who are familiar with the UK scene, incoming vocalist Harry Rule will be no stranger after fronting God Complex over the last few years. However, the band recently announced that they are calling it quits, signing off with with one final release titled TDIADW.
For those among us who are more eagled eyed, Rule took a lead role in Blood Youth’s video for their first single of the year “Iron Lung”. The new vocalist, who featured on Loathe’s “Broken Vision Rhythm” last year, can be seen hidden by a mask throughout the video. In the Rock Sound interview, Tarsus further revealed that Rule has featured in every video released this year.
“Harry has been in every single one of our new videos as well. He’s been at every shoot, and we have all laughed and joked and had a great time together.”
Departing vocalist Kaya Tarsus led Blood Youth from the front on the aforementioned debut EP Inside My Head. Following on, the Harrogate-based group released their debut studio album, Beyond Repair, in 2017, which was then followed up by nu-metal inspired album Starve. Tarsus‘ final performance was this year’s Slam Dunk, with Rule now taking the reins.
