New York metalcore veterans Every Time I Die have at last announced their ninth studio album, Radical, for an October 22nd release. Along with the album announcement, the group shared a brand new single titled “Post-Boredom“. You can view the track’s official music video below.
Word came in late 2019 of Every Time I Die entering the studio to record the long-awaited follow-up to 2016’s revered Low Teens. Shortly thereafter, the group premiered a new track live titled “Planet Shit“, just a few months shy of the COVID lockdowns. As is the case with many others, the pandemic likely caused many internal delays for the project, leading to its eventual reveal here over a year-and-a-half following the initial news.
In late 2020, the group shared the first three singles from the record: “A Colossal Wreck“, “Desperate Pleasures” and “AWOL“. Two blisteringly heavy and one more melodic track to tide fans over until now. Luckily, the group seem to have blessed us with a surprisingly short notice release, being due only 2 months from now.
Front man Keith Buckley Explains I’m dealing with difficult matters this time that isn’t only personal for me but are also universal and more communal experiences,” and continues “The songs are realistic in that they acknowledge that things require a lot of work. But it’s ultimately a very hopeful and uplifting record.”
Radical will be available October 22nd via Epitaph. You can find pre-orders here, and view the album’s official artwork and tracklist below. For all the latest on Every Time I Die, metalcore and music in general, keep it locked on Boolin Tunes.
