Originally released in 2020 as a single, Perturbator has now re-released “Excess“ in its final album version. Along with the re-release it has been announced that an Excess EP will be released this year, each cover will be released one-by-one in the coming months. The French artist has asked these six bands to “put their own spin on it” and has given them complete freedom over their covers.
The EP will feature well-known industrial band HEALTH who Perturbator worked with on the song “Body Prison.” The first cover released is by Author & Punisher which has put an industrial metal spin on “Excess.” The other bands are announced are; INVSN, She Past Away, OddZoo and Pig Destroyer.
“Excess” will feature on Perturbator’s upcoming album Lustful Sacraments which is set for release on May 28th via Blood Music. This release follows “Death Of The Soul“ and “Under A Funeral Haze“ which released in March and April respectively.
